Hard to believe that it's already been 15 years since the much anticipated first installment in the new chapter of Star Wars, the prequels this time, was released in the theaters.
I remember much excitement and anticipation heading into the release of "The Phantom Menace" After actually seeing the movie, many people (myself included, admittedly) kind of felt a bit disappointed. It was not like the old Star Wars movies. It was not as exciting (although Darth Maul really could have changed that, since he really was an awesome villain!) as the old movies had been, and it also was not as funny as those prior films had been. There seemed to be something, or some things, missing.
Unfortunately, that was the general feeling about the subsequent Star Wars prequel movies, as well. That it was perhaps good, but not great, like the first trilogy had been!
Still, it was Star Wars, and that's something! As annoying as Jar Jar Binks was (and that may rank as the most annoying major film character of all time, one worthy of dying off), there were some old staples of Star Wars that really could be appreciated, particularly the lightsaber battle between Obi Wan, Qui Gonn, and Darth Maul, towards the end.
It has now been a decade and a half, and so maybe it's time to see what the cast members have been up to since, and what they look like now.
