Seahawks Get Their Super Bowl Rings

I've always been fascinated by the Super Bowl rings that teams get. Frankly, by both the winners and losers rings. Sometimes, the losers rings are more fascinating, and even nicer looking, than the winners rings.

Still, every year, whoever the most recent Super Bowl champion is ultimately reveals their rings, and you get articles like the one down below, saying that they are amazing, and probably the best rings ever. Such was the case with the Super Bowl XLIII rings for the Pittsburgh Steelers, which I personally thought were way over the top and, frankly, ugly. Especially since their previous rings from three seasons earlier were probably the nicest of the rings that I've seen so far.

Also, the trend with Super Bowl rings these days is that they all seem to be done in white gold, which is a bit surprising. The originality behind it is lost, too, by this point. Early on, only one team did their rings in white gold, and that was the Raiders. Then, the New England Patriots made their Super Bowl championship rings with that same white gold, and the results were generally very nice.

But now, it seems that every team is emulating this look. Only the Steelers and the Saints kept the traditional gold rings of late, and it was surprising to see even the Packers, a team that specifically has gold as one of it's main colors, doing the white gold thing.

So, here we go again with another white gold ring. Although, admittedly, this one is cool, if only because it is a new team, and the Seattle skyline is on the ring, with the Space Needle of course standing out.

One thing that seems new with this ring is a certain cockiness.

Not that championship rings generally (and Super Bowl rings in particular) tend to be modest things, but this one seems almost directed as a challenge to the rest of the league.

On the inside, you can read the words "Leave No Doubt", and following the lopsided score of the last Super Bowl, the question "What's Next?".

If I didn't know any better, I would suggest that the Seahawks are predicting a dynasty!
