Nine Pictures WIth Horrendous Backstories

I ran into this link earlier, and it was indeed horrifying. Pictures that were taken during what seemed to be relatively normal and peaceful times, just before something horrific happened.

It is eerie, seeing images of places and circumstances just before something truly horrific happened, but it also brings it to life quite a bit more, does it not?

People are going about their day, attending to no obvious business, and the picture captures that. But in the not too distant future, that calm is shattered, and something truly unbelievable happens.

For me, I get that same feeling whenever I watch those clips of New York City just moments before the first plane hit the first Twin Tower, when you catch a glimpse of the last time that those towers stood in relative peace.
