Stephen King's Scariest Characters of All Time

You know, this is a pretty good list, but I think that one character was left out.

For me, Andy Linoge of Storm of the Century was probably one of the all-time best villains that Stephen King created, and easily should have been one of the top three villains, along with Randall Flagg and Pennywise the Clown. Here was a guy who seemed not to have a name or identity, and showed up, unannounced and under mysterious circumstances on an isolated island off the coast of Maine right before an epic snowstorm. He then terrorizes the entire island, responsible for eight deaths, usually by having the victims do horrific things to themselves, and having a mysterious hold over pretty much everyone else on the island. Prison bars cannot contain him, and snowstorm measuring several feet does not seem to bother him, as he moves easily wherever he pleases on the island. He is able to spread his message effortlessly through other people, through computers, through dreams, and pretty much any way that he so chooses and, ultimately, he gets everyone on the island save one constable to give him what he wanted, before he would go away. There was almost no way to counter this guy, although we will never know if the constable's failed attempts to get the population of the island to gather together and will this demon to go away and not get what he wants would have worked or not.

That was one creepy, albeit grimly gripping character!

Also honorable mentions go to Jack Torrence (or the Overlook Hotel that held a certain sway over him, if you prefer) from The Shining and the Pastor Charles Daniel from the last book, Revival, as well! In fact, I would say that Mr. Mercedes (Brady) from the novel of the same name was also creepy as hell, although in a very different, and far more real-life way than many of those other characters.

I do not entirely agree with this list, but it is a fascinating read nonetheless, and I definitely recommend it for any fans of King!
