Another Mass Shooting Comes Less Than 24 Hours After the El Paso Walmart Mass Shooting

Tragedy strikes again with another mass shooting this weekend. This one is not to be confused with the earlier mass shooting in El Paso, Texas.  Amazingly, before I even got a chance to publish the blog entry this morning about yesterday’s mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, there was yet another major mass shooting – the fourth one this week in the United States!

This one was in Dayton, Ohio, at the Ned Peppers Bar in the Oregon district (not to be confused with the state of the same name). At the time that I am writing this, the most recent reports were the nine people had been killed, and sixteen others injured. There are no further details emerging yet at this time for what is – again, at the time of my writing this at about 5:00 AM EST – still a breaking story.

No word as of yet about the shooter, or the motivations behind the crime. Police reported that this district in Dayton is usually a fairly safe area, and that this is almost unheard of in Dayton. Many officials and locals were saying the same thing in El Paso after the Walmart shooting there.

Again, my sympathies to the victims and their families.
