Distinguished author Toni Morrison has died. She was 88.
Morrison was a Nobel laureate, becoming the first African-American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Her writing delved into the black experience in the United States. Some of her most famous works are “Song of Solomon” and “Beloved.”
Morrison died of complications from pneumonia.
