Berlin Wall Represented Different Things at Different Times

Okay, so I wrote another article for Take Off/Set Sail. This one was about Berlin in the 20th and into the 21st century in general, and the Berlin Wall specifically.

In writing this, I incorporated some of my own experiences in visiting that city, and what remains of it's once feared wall, a couple of years ago.

This article also delves into the fascinating history of Germany in general, and Berlin in particular, with it being the capital of the German Empire during both World Wars, then being the symbolically and literally divided city of the Cold War, to being the city of hope and change when the Berlin Wall fell, ushering in a new era of mostly peaceful revolution and reform all across eastern Europe.

Berlin became the capital of a unified Germany once again some years ago, and is now the proud capital city of a strong Germany. Many, if not most, of the historic buildings destroyed during the war have been rebuilt, and the city has a new feel to it - especially for Europe!

I found it to be a vibrant and lively city, with plenty of history and beauty for travelers. Unfortunately, I was there only for one day, but it was an immensely enjoyable day that I remain thankful for ever since!

So, here is another article that I wrote for Take Off/Set Sail, my third thus far, with the focus this time on the Berlin Wall. Please take a look and enjoy!
