Whether you agree with him or not, no one will be able to accuse Bernie Sanders of not speaking his mind, or holding back when it comes to his principles.
And recently, Vermont's Senator and presidential candidate spoke candidly to his Republican colleagues about the massive waste of time that they were engaging in on the Congressional floor, at the expense of the American taxpayer that they are supposed to be working for. He has long accused them of obstructing action on the behalf of the American people, and he was blasting them and their hypocrisy for what amounted to a gigantic waste of time in a symbolic gesture that had no real meaning.
Yes, he calls it as he sees it, and we need politicians who are this frank and honest, willing to say what we all know is true. In the meantime, other politicians, being more polished and having accepted their roles as cogs in the machine in order to advance their own careers, rather than truly doing what is best for the American people, prevents them from the refreshing honesty and integrity that Sanders has come to be universally known for and respected.
