Frankly, if anyone in an hour of need deserves this kind of a treatment, it would be Martin Shkreli, who's big claim to fame is hiking the cost of a necessary drug for ill patients by 5,000% overnight, so that he could line his own pockets.
Making profit from the pain that you create seems to me to be the epitome of evil, and as such, Shkreli would deserve no better than this.
He is a criminal, and although I cannot say for sure how long it will last, it is a bit of a source of comfort that a man such as this finds himself behind bars.
