Disney Did Not Use Any Ideas From George Lucas in New Star Wars Film

Legendary movie director George Lucas, who has the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies to his credit, seems to have mixed feelings at best regarding the new movie, The Force Awakens. He made it clear that Disney, which bought the rights to Star Wars from Lucas for a staggering $4 billion, were not overly keen on using Lucas's original plot line.

"They didn't use any of my ideas," he said before actually seeing the movie.

After seeing the movie, he gave it a backhanded compliment by suggesting that it was the film that the fans wanted. However, he clearly had other ideas for where the saga of Star Wars should have gone.

'The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn't really want to do those,' Lucas said.

'So they made up their own. So it's not the ones that I originally wrote.'
