Kennedy Assassination Papers to be Made Public Today

Officially, the Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, and killed President Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

However, there appeared to be so many lingering questions that have remained unanswered, that it has fed just tons of conspiracy theories ever since.

Many of the experts assure us that, yes, coincidences do happen, and that not everything is as it might appear at first glance.

All true, except that perhaps the biggest and most puzzling of all coincidences regarding the Kennedy assassination is that so many strange things seemed to happen all at once. There are just tons of bizarre facts regarding the case, and it is indeed strange and unsatisfactory, that things are supposed to have occurred precisely as the official report suggests.

There are plenty of lingering questions regarding Lee Harvey Oswald. Why did he go to Mexico City just weeks prior to the assassination? Was he an expert marksman, or was he indeed mediocre, as many skeptics of the official account suggest? Could he have fired two incredible shots that hit the mark, after apparently missing the first one?

For that matter, could he really have acted alone? Why did a significant percent of the people present on that day seem to believe that the shots came from the grassy knoll?

And what about the pictures that seem to show Lyndon Johnson winking to a smiling at Congressman Albert Thomas? Was that somehow a misleading picture, or does it actually show what it appears to show? And if so, does it suggest that Johnson is guilty of orchestrating the assassination, or is it just, as has been suggested, the politicians have a very, very short period of mourning before celebrating some kind of victory, such as officially getting the highest office possible?

Is the case really closed, as Gerald Posner's book suggests? Or is there indeed something more? And, for that matter, if there really was nothing to hide about the true story, then why has it taken so long for so many of these papers pertaining to the assassination to be made public?

Later today, public records relating to the assassination will be released, and many hope that this will help to clarify matters, to let the overall picture of what happened on that day in Dallas be a little clearer.

Let's see if that is indeed what happens, or if it opens up another can of worms, or a Pandora's box of fresh new conspiracy theories.
