Thursday Night Football Preview: Baltimore at Miami

Miami Dolphins

vs.

Baltimore Ravens

Tonight's match-up pits the Miami Dolphins visiting the Baltimore Ravens.

The Dolphins are really getting hot, having won three straight games. With a 4-2 mark, they are tied with the Bills for second place in the AFC East, and trying to catch the Patriots, who are currently half a game ahead. So, the stakes could not be higher for the Fins.

As for the Ravens, they are predictably wildly inconsistent, if that makes any sense. They have been inconsistent ever since winning Super Bowl XLVII, and Joe Flacco, who enjoyed a stunning, record performance through the 2012 playoffs, has cooled off considerably since.

If this game was to be held in Miami, I might predict a very easy victory for the Dolphins. However, it will be played at Baltimore, so the Ravens might have a chance.

Still, all in all, this game means everything to the Dolphins, while Baltimore appears to be unraveling at the seams. My guess is that the trend continues for both teams, with the Dolphins coming out winners in a fairly tight contest, securing the win late in the fourth quarter.

My pick: Miami
