Another Adventure at Jungle Habitat

My son and I went back to the former Jungle Habitat, which has now become part of a New Jersey State Park. Makes sense, and it benefits people. An improvement, which I think is a good thing.

It actually felt like a jungle, in terms of just how hot and humid it was. It was both hot and humid, and the mosquitoes completed the discomfort.

Still, it was a bit of an adventure. We found some things that we didn't the first time around. We had seen two of the biggest snakes I had ever seen last summer. This time, no snakes, but we saw another bear, although it was running away. We saw some beautiful butterflies, and we saw more buildings and physical traces of Jungle Habitat, including what appeared to have once been the tracks for a short rail ride. I also saw a tree with some strange hanging things, which kind of served almost as the entrance to one of the paths in the woods, and looked as if it belonged in a jungle.

All of this made for an interesting trip.
