Well, the US Open is under way.
And while there were some upsets, there were no real huge shockers, like there usually is already by this point.
Roger Federer easily took care of business yesterday, with Michael Jordan looking on.
Many feel that Federer has a good chance to win this year, with Nadal out, and with Murray looking shakier than usual.
So, assuming that he has a decent chance to win (he would surely have to get past Djokovic to do so), the question on some people's mind is simple: is this Federer's last chance to add to his record seventeen Grand Slams?
It is a good question, and one worthy of exploring.
I remember people saying that years ago, when they thought he was finished. But he won Wimbledon in 2012, and reached the number one ranking, well past the point when people first thought he was through.
Now, once again, some are sounding the death knell on his career.
But I, for one, do not think it wise to prematurely stick a fork in the most accomplished men's tennis player in history.
