Western Trip - Various Pictures

  1. I'm happy for you that you got to see "Big Sky Country", aka Montana. That's a state that's always intrigued me – a state "qui fait rêver" as we say in French, and these pictures clearly show why. It's great that you and Sébastien got to see Old Faithful while you were in Wyoming. He's lucky to be seeing such spectacular sights, and years from now he'll undoubtedly look back very fondly on these trips. Enjoy the rest of your stay out west, and try to get a little rest as well in order to recover from all that driving.

    1. Well, we did not visit Montana, as much as a couple of towns in the state that immediately border Yellowstone National Park. Still, I too have always been intrigued by Montana as well, and it was a small thrill to see it. Gardiner is the north point of entry, just five miles from the incredible Mammoth Hot Springs, which is one of the most beautiful and incredible sites in Yellowstone. And West Yellowstone is, as the name implies, the western point of entry. Both towns had some charm, and they both provided some comparatively affordable alternatives to the park itself, in terms of places to eat, for gas, and tourist shops, as opposed to Jackson Hole, a famous town that is the point of entry to the Grand Tetons. Jackson Hole felt very much like an overly expensive tourist trap.
