A Visit to Duke Farms on a Beautiful & Sunny Spring Afternoon

Today was extremely rainy and chilly. Not a particularly good day for a walk or anything, although that is part of the spring season. Usually, the weather has turbulence like that. In fact, it seems to happen every single year, these dips back into chilly or even cold conditions. Yet when it happens, it seems that everyone complains about how it's spring now, and they just want it to be warm.

Earlier this week, however, the weather was indeed beautiful. And I tried to take advantage of that opportunity on my end. I have been walking quite a bit. And the recent walk at nearby Duke Farms, right in my hometown of Hillsborough, was particularly beautiful. It seems that the cherry blossoms are really beginning to come out, albeit unevenly. Some seemed at their peak, some seemed part their peak, and still others seemed like they were only beginning to blossom.

Nevertheless, it was beautiful. And I decided that it would probably be a good idea to take some pictures and share them here. It felt particularly lovely in the Meditation Garden, which has a Far Eastern, perhaps particularly a Japanese, feel to it.

So here are some of those photos which I took during my recent visit from earlier this week. They are sunny images, even though they are being published on another dark, cold, soggy night here in New Jersey.

Enjoy.
