Ran into this Youtube video over the weekend. And it rang true enough that I felt it would be worth sharing here.
Indeed, some people do seem legitimately puzzled as to why so many people have a very strong, negative reaction to Trump.
This guy pretty much diagnoses one of the main themes, and probably the main reason overall for why people dislike Trump and all that he stands for as much as they do.
Frankly, Trump is unstable and evil.
Evil?
Yes, evil. He not only takes pride in doing bad things and doing harm, but he actively encourages that kind of behavior in others, too. Under Trump, hatred and pettiness have been normalized.
Seriously, who writes Christmas sentiments beginning with "Merry Christmas to the scum..."
What a sentiment worthy of a Hallmark card, eh?
I mean, would any of us be willing to put our names down in writing with a message like that?
No, because it is not normal. We would look unstable, and for a reason.
And now, he has launched a war fully on their own, without Congressional approval. Most members of Congress are expressing outrage at the lack of transparency. Yet, nobody is trying to reign this guy in, to try and limit his seemingly unchecked power.
Take a look (again, wish I could still post videos, but oh, well):
