Today was a bit crazy.
Really, the weather has been kind of crazy.
Just a couple of weeks or so ago, we had a major winter storm. Some areas of New Jersey saw two feet of snow. I saw well over a foot. And prior to that, we had subfreezing temperatures. Brutally cold conditions. Quite unpleasant.
Now, we had our first really warm day. Temperatures reached well over 80 degrees Fahrenheit earlier today.
Frankly, it felt like summer. Not what you expect in New Jersey in early to mid-March.
Yet, that is what it was like. I was in shorts and a t-shirt, and built up a sweat just walking around on the canal trail.
Again, these are things which I tend to associate with summer. Yet, it is still winter, at least officially. For another week and a half or so, winter is still officially here.
Strange weather indeed.
Anyway, I did enjoy it. It was a refreshing change of pace.
Below are some pictures which I took during this beautiful day. The sunshine was sparkling brilliantly and beautifully on the water, although the pictures below do not do that justice. Also, I saw the first turtles of this new year.
Enjoy.
