The news has been quite grim lately.
Nothing new there, of course. Yet this week, I actually was not certain that we were not about to see some apocalyptic events, and possibly the start of World War III. Then, it fizzled out as quickly as it came. It was as if nothing had happened.
Such appears to be the reality of the times we live in.
However, it is spring, a beautiful season. And so I wanted to shift gears for a bit and get away from the dark news headlines to focus on something else. Something a little more positive and less depressing.
Recently, I have gotten back into doing my daily walks. And my favorite local places to go have been the Delaware & Raritan Canal, as well as at Duke Farms. Specifically, so far, it has been in and around the Meditation Gardens at Duke Farms.
This past week, I took some pictures from these walks which felt like they would be worth sharing here. It feels to me that some of them have a bit of the beauty and spirit of the spring season. This is some of the best that the Garden State has to offer.
Enjoy.
