Coronavirus News Update for Saturday, April 18, 2020

Latest Count in Covid-19 Cases are as follows:  

Over 2,225,000 infected around the world, and over 154, 000 people have died around the world to date.  

The United States has, far and away, the most confirmed cases of any nation in the world, with over 710,000 infected, and with over 37,000 confirmed deaths from Covid-19. Both of those are, at least for now, far more than any other country.  

In Europe, Spain has the second most amount of confirmed coronavirus cases, with over 190,000, and over 20,000 confirmed deaths. Italy is next, with more than 172,00o confirmed cases, and over 22,000 deaths to date, which is the second most of any nation. France is next, with over 147,000 cases, and over 18,000 deaths. Germany has over 141,000 confirmed cases but, for now, they have far fewer deaths proportionally to those other countries, with less than 4,4000. Finally, the United Kingdom has 108,000 confirmed cases, and over 14,500 deaths from Covid-19.  

Those are the countries that have over 100,000 confirmed cases of the disease.
