U.S. Economy Took a Serious Hit in Brutal Month of March

It is now well into April, approaching the midpoint of the month.

But last month was a brutal month for many around the world. That, of course, was when the Covid-19 crisis really began to hit full force in much of the world. It had already hit eastern Asia, but it seemed to hit Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Australia more fully last month.

Then, there was the economic news, which was like the second part of this crisis. Here in the United States, nearly ten million people filed for unemployment after the first two full weeks since this thing hit.

Now, the official numbers are out: over 700,000 people lost their jobs here in the United States. There are still projections that it will be a lot more than that, when all is said and done. And the government keeps borrowing more and more money in order to provide assistance, apparently mainly towards yet another corporate bailout. You know, because the last one worked out so well for us all, right?

Absolutely ridiculous.
