As bad as the coronavirus crisis is hitting the world, it is not the only news or tragedy that the world has to deal with.
There was a mass shooting in Nova Scotia over the weekend, and it wound up being the deadliest shooting on record in Canadian history.
It happened Saturday night into Sunday, when a deranged 51-year old man dressed to pass himself off as a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman (RCMP), including a car disguised to look like an official RCMP police car.
The rampage lasted hours and was spread across various parts of Nova Scotia, only ending early on Sunday morning in Halifax, when the suspect was killed by actual policemen.
In all, 22 people have been confirmed killed from the rampage. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is calling for stricter gun measures in his country now:
"In regards to gun control, we took very serious commitments in the election campaign and have moved forward -- and are moving forward on them -- to ensure that we're strengthening gun control in this country," Trudeau told reporters Monday, according to CNN media partner CTV News.
