It all started when France's biggest and youngest superstar, Kylian Mbappé, broke through early in the 6th minute to give Les Bleus the early lead. he added to that just a few minutes later in the 12th minute to give France the 2-0 lead, then scored yet again in the 32nd minute to give the defending World Cup champs a comfortable 3-0 lead by halftime. he would add yet another goal in the 87th minute to provide the final margin of victory of 8-0.
In the second half, another star wanted to get in on the action, as Karim Benzem scored in the 55th minute, and then broke through again in the 59th minute, and the rout was on.
Adrien Rabiot scored in the 75th minute to make it 6-0.
Antoine Griezmann scored on a penalty in the 84th minute, followed shortly by Mbappé's fourth and final goal.
Mbappé set a new personal best with four goals in this single game.
France simply looked unbeatable in this game, holding onto the ball for 66 percent of the game, and enjoying an impressive 91 percent pass efficiency. They had 20 shots on goal, to just 5 for Kazakhstan, and 14 of those goals were on target, t just 3 for Kazakhstan.
With this impressive margin of victory, France finished atop their group with 15 points after seven games, which is four ahead of second-placed Finland, clinching first place for L'Equipe de France. France and Finland will play in the final match of group play for both teams on Tuesday at the Helsingin olympiastadion in Helsingfors, Finland.
