It seemed like with every trip to France that I can remember, with the exception of the 2019 trip, dating back to my childhood visits, I can remember seeing some Citroën 2CV's, which are my favorite car.
Yet, they were common enough back then that they really did not feel like a very big deal.
By the time of the 1998 trip, they were starting to be uncommon. You still saw them around at times. Still, they were becoming increasingly a rare find.
The 2019 trip was so brief, that I never really got the chance to see one.
But in 2022, my son and I saw them at least a couple of times.
Now on this trip, I have encountered them three times, so far. Two times, I managed to get pictures. The other one happened so quickly that I never really got the chance.
Anyway, below are some pictures of the Citroën 2CV vehicles that I did manage to snap pictures of.
Enjoy.
The best & clearest pictures:
An all black Citroën 2CV.
This one was right outside of the Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, just minutes after my visit.
It took me by surprise. Only really noticed it because of the noise that it was making, which also made it stand out.
Not the best pictures, but some came out okay:
As a bonus, here is a picture of another Citroën, which I encountered late on Thursday night, while walking back to the hotel. This one was a Citroën DS, however. The pictures didn't come out great, admittedly. But it was night, I once again was taken by surprise, and the car was in motion.
Still, I did the best that I could.
Enjoy.
