The Louvre feels like a must to visit while in Paris. And in fact, my son and I did pay a visit back during our 2019 trip. He could say that he had seen it.
However, it was only the outside. That is fine. It is a beautiful and historic building, and the Tuileries gardens, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel and the glass pyramid certainly all enhance that. It is indeed a sight to behold.
Still, there are obviously treasures to see inside. Priceless works of art. The most famous painting in the world, and many other very famous paintings and sculptures.
So I felt determined to make sure that we paid it a visit on our next trip. And that is exactly what we did.
We arrived early. It was eight o'clock in the morning, an hour before the museum even opens. And it was so blessedly cool.
