After managing to visit Placio del Comerzio, I almost returned back. Ready to call it a night, you know?
But then something happened.
There I was, sitting at the Metro station, and the train was coming.
I looked up before it blocked my view of the sign. The name of the station rang a bell.
After a while, it came to me. The Lisbon Cathedral was supposed to be close to this stop. Another major landmark which I had wanted to see. And it was accessible. I really could go and see it.
So as the train pulled into the station, I got up like everyone else did. Except I didn't actually get on the train.
Instead, I headed out of the Metro station and went looking for it.
Asked a Metro worker, who pointed it out to me. That it was maybe a 15 minute walk at most.
Needless to say, I went.
Now, I was beginning to really feel like I had made the most of a challenging situation. Faced with some difficult circumstances which were beyond my control, I had still tried to overcome the best that I could & make the most of my visit. Think it's fair to suggest that, under the circumstances, I did okay.
After the admittedly brief visit, I decided to treat myself to a sidewalk café dinner.
My visit to Lisbon was already coming to an end.
Yet, I was feeling better about it by the end.
Below are some pictures that I took of Lisbon Cathedral.
Enjoy.
