The Château de Vincennes was not a monument that I ever remember seeing, or even knowing about, during childhood visits to France. Particularly the Paris region, of course.
But my brother took me there during that unforgettable 1998 trip. And I loved it.
Back then, it reminded me of the Bastille.
After visiting it this time around, I couldn't help but wonder why I got that impression, because it really looks nothing like the Bastille.
Anyway, it was one of the places which I had wanted to visit again during this trip. On Thursday, I got the opportunity.
