Could George W. Bush Wind Up Endorsing Joe Biden in 2020?

So here is some surprising news:

George W. Bush, the last Republican President before the current one, Donald Trump, took office, could potentially endorse Democrat Joe Biden for the 2020 presidential race.

Without getting into specifics why, I am not a fan of either Bush or Trump, admittedly.

Yet, this seemed like kind of a potentially big news story should it happen. It certainly raised my eyebrows once I saw this. It would almost be a shock to see this, should it actually come to pass, frankly. Usually, the Republican party is pretty much in lock step. But that seemed to fall apart a bit in 2016, when many big name Republicans (including the Bush family as a whole) declined to lend their support to Trump.

That seemed more or less to ebb a bit over the past few years, when many of those same high profile Republicans like Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, and Lindsey Graham, just to name a few, have done a complete about face and become very loyal Trump supporters.

To his credit, however, former president George W. Bush refused to outright endorse Trump, which he pretty much did in the last election. Now, however, if he were to outright endorse the nominee for the opposition party, the Democrats, it could actually change some votes, maybe. And that could actually have an impact on what appears to be another too close to call election, as the difference between the two candidates remains within single digits at the moment.

Let's see what happens.
