Walter Shaub Calls Out Trump's Use of Helicopters to Intimidate Protesters

It is no secret that Trump is unlike any other president in American history. He shows not the slightest trace of a softer or more nuanced approach to things. With him, there is no mystery, no secret. He is all about his own self-interest, and about using brute force to get what he wants.

Thus, these obviously inconvenient protests are obviously not something that he wants to deal with right now. By and large, whenever there is anything that detracts from his ability to brag about the supposed magic that he is doing with the economy, he shows little patience. In fact, he responds almost with disdain when these things keep occurring.

Trump knows only one language when it comes to protests, and it is all about trying to crack down on it. We all know about how he cleared out protesters by making sure that they were teargassed, before walking to a church and posing for a photo op, using the Bible as a prop.

But one thing that may have escaped most people's attention.

Walter Shaub, the former Director of the United States Office of Government Ethics, has taken exception to one thing that was used to try and disperse protesters. It was the use of helicopters, and Shaub believes that this is just one line being crossed to prepare for more lines being crossed in the future. Here is what Shaub tweeted out just days ago:

You may think it's only a small thing that the military used helicopters to intimidate American civilians in the nation's capital. It's not. A line was crossed tonight. There will be other lines. This is Trump conditioning them to cross those lines.
