Ringo Starr Releases New Album, “Zoom In”

Having just published something about the Beatles, this seemed like an opportune time to publish something about a new upcoming album from one of the surviving members of the Fab Four.

Yes, Ringo is back with another album!

The former Beatles drummer worked on an album while in quarantine during the coronavirus lockdown, and he is now set to release that album.

It will feature some other contributing musicians, including his famous former bandmate, Paul McCartney. Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and Nirvana fame, and Joe Walsh from Aerosmith, also contributed to the album, which will be released early in 2021.

Below are some pictures from the Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band Concert that my son and I went to in Worcester, Massachusetts, back in June of 2016. It was a fantastic show, and some truly great memories. Did not feel so long ago, yet my son seems so young in these pictures from more than four years ago now.

  1. Joe Walsh from the Eagles. Joe Perry is the Aerosmith guitarist.

I'm glad you got to see Ringo with Sébastien. It's funny seeing pictures of him from just a few years ago - he's looking more and more like a young man, as opposed to the little kid he still was in the pictures you've posted here. Where was that show where he's having Twizzlers and Pepsi? Though you seem to be towards the back, it seems to be one of those venues where there aren't any bad seats.

    1. We snuck those snacks in, if memory serves correctly, because I'm dangerous like that. You can't stop me, don't even try. As for where this concert was, it was in Worchestershire (I think that's how to spell it) in Mass. There were more tickets, and for far cheaper, to see Ringo here than locally, around the NY/NJ area. So we saw this concert here.

  2. I don't blame you - in addition to saving money on tickets, you also had the advantage of seeing him in a venue where there apparently weren't any bad seats. It's so absurd when you're seated in a different zip code, and staring at a jumbotron the whole time. From the looks of those pictures, you were close enough to the stage that you could still tell the musicians apart without looking at those screens.
