December 27th in Rock & Roll History

Today is December 27th. Two days after Christmas, and in the strange week between one major holiday (Christmas) and the other one (New Year's). 

Yet, it is an important date in music history. In the article by Q104.3 (see link below), the relevance of this date is explained in rock history. The bands who had significant historical markers include the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Metallica. And on a less pleasant note, it was also a very significant date in the history of the Allmans, as well.
