PSG Crushes Club Brugge at the Parc des Princes

    ⚽️ ⚽️ Paris Saint-Germain ⚽️  ⚽️

Paris Saint-Germain - Club Brugge ( 4-1 )

It did not take French superstar Mbappe long to break through with a goal in yesterday’s game against Club Brugges in UEFA Champions League play. He scored in the 2nd minute, giving PSG the early 1-0 lead.

Just five minutes later, he broke through again, and PSG was up 2-0, just like that. That pretty well set the tempo for the rest of the game.  Another of PSG’s megastars, Lionel Messi, got in on the scoring in the 38th minute, which gave the Parisians a comfortable 3-0 lead for halftime.

Club Brugge finally gave something of an answer when Mats Rits broke through in the 68th minute to get it to 3-1.

However, that would be as close as they would get, Messi scroed again in the 79th minute off a penalty kick, providing the final 4-1 margin.

PSG played well, holding onto the ball for 61 percent of the game, and enjoying 89 percent accuracy with their passes. The shots on goal were fairly even between the two teams, with PSG enjoying a 17 to 15 advantage, and with 9 shots on target, to just 6 for Club Brugge.

With the win, PSG solidifies their second place standing in Group A, having compiled 11 points through six games played to date, as they have won three games, tied two, and lost one. That means that they are one point behind Manchester City, who have 12 points after six games, with four wins and two losses. RB Leipzig has seven points after six games, and Club Brugge has four points after six games, and is currently in last place in Group A.
