50 Years Ago Today – The Mission to the Moon was Launched

Yes, it has been half a century since the mission to fulfill President John F Kennedy’s promise to the country to bring a man to the moon, and return him safely back to Earth, began.              

The actual moon landing would take place a few days later, on July 20th, and I will try to remember to honor that memory in a few days.              

But it seemed worth noting such a huge and memorable anniversary today.
