Thursday Night Football: Seattle Seahawks (2-1) at Arizona Cardinals (2-1)
This game features two 2-1 teams from what sure seems like the best division in the entire league, the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks, fresh off their blowout victory over the New Orleans Saints, now go on the road to the desert in the southwest to face the also 2-1 Arizona Cardinals, who fell just short against the 49ers in San Francisco last weekend.
Both of these teams are off to solid starts, better than I expected, admittedly. However, the Cardinals feel like the better overall team. They were expected by many to make a run for the playoffs. They won their first two, and almost - probably should have - pulled off the win against the 49ers. They lost it on the final play of the game, which was a successful field goal conversion.
The Seahawks only loss so far this season also came against San Francisco, much like as was the case with the Cardinals. They also won an impressive game against the Steelers.
However, I suspect that the Cards are the better, more complete of these two teams. That coupled with home field advantage should allow the Cardinals to earn a solid win, and then get an extra bit of time to prepare for their next game, to boot.
My pick: Arizona
