There is more controversy surrounding the Epstein List.
Women who had been victimized by Epstein gathered in Washington to recount their trauma and tom remind Americans that this was real, and not a hoax. They called on the Trump White House to take action, which was something which they repeatedly promised last year while on the campaign trail. In fact, it was a major theme of their campaign.
Not far away, and almost at the same, President Trump spoke about the Epstein Files. Once again, he dismissed it as a "Democratic hoax." He claimed that he wanted to focus on all that has happened in the past eight months, where he claimed that his administration was doing great things, and was the most accomplished presidency in history, and blah, blah, blah.
Very little about the Trump administration, and his mindless hordes of supporters, really astonishes me anymore.
That said, the complete about face and reversal of arguments and logic on this particular topic has actually astonished me. The fact that one year ago, Trump stressed how once in the White House, he would release the Epstein Files, and MAGA was militant in their insistence that the Epstein Files needed to be released immediately, seems to have become yet one more example of the collective national amnesia. It seems that they simply have forgotten about how militantly they were demanding the Epstein Files to be released.
Taking it a step further, the Trump White House actually suggested that any Republicans voting for the release of the Epstein Files would be regarded as extremely hostile to the Trump White House. Of course, the MAGA bootlickers in Congress are bending over backwards to accommodate this.
Meanwhile, MAGA supporters seem to once again, predictably, be falling in line. Nobody wants to criticize Trump's handling - mishandling - of this situation. Nobody wants to talk about the obvious and blatant inconsistency with this president and his administration, which boldly and repeatedly promised that these files would be released. Bondi even said that it was on her desk, ready to be released. Now, they are adamant that the files will not be released, that they are one big hoax, and urging the country to forget about it. And MAGA supporters are doing mental gymnastics to try and stick with the president through all of this. To justify the unjustifiable.
The stronger the reaction by Trump, the guiltier he appears to the entire world. It's amazing to me how they do not seem to see this.
Strange how the Democrats are blamed by Trump and MAGA no matter what. A year ago, the Democrats were guilty of not releasing the Epstein Files. Now, they are guilty of the big hoax, which evidently the Epstein Files are. Funny, though, that the Democrats would not have released the Epstein Files while they were in power, if they were fabricated merely to do political damage to Trump and discredit him, eh?
It is absolutely disgusting to see this regime increasingly assuming dictatorial powers, and for their fascist MAGA following to applaud their every move. The supposed logic that they are using towards this whole Epstein controversy feels in keeping with the Orwellian 2+2=5 nature of this administration. Believe what they say now, not a day or a week or a month or a year ago. Don't hold them accountable for what they said they would do, just accept their sanitized version of history without questions or critiques or, frankly, thought.
Sickening.
Some MAGA morons keep asking "What if Bill Clinton is in the Epstein Files?"
Hey, we're not the ones with Clinton flags on the back of our pick-ups, and changing our arguments whenever Dear Leader argues something entirely different than he has before. If Bill Clinton is guilty of pedophilia and abusing his power to try and get away with it, then lock him up and throw away the keys.
Period.
Same with Trump, frankly.
Same with anyone else on the list. Another president or major national political figure? A beloved Hollywood actor, or some prominent wealthy public figure? Perhaps some famous musicians or authors or whatever?
Lock them up.
Period.

The more they alter their position and try to get people to forget the intellectual and moral inconsistencies with this pathetic man and his administration, the more it seems like we need to demand the full and entire truth, and dismiss everything that Trump has to say about it.
Release the Epstein Files.
