Here are some of my personal favorite pictures from the recent trip down south that my son and I just got back from.
There were some memorable sites that we took in. The Grand Old Opry and Centennial Park, with the exact replica of the Parthenon, in Nashville. The Eiffel Tower of Tennessee. The Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis. The Pyramid in Memphis, which is one of the most iconic structures of that city, and which had an awesome and not overly expensive observatory from which you can take in great views of the city and of the mighty Mississippi River, but which also is itself just an oversized Pro Shops Store. There was the pleasant, prim and proper state capitol building in Little Rock. A few days later, we saw the beautiful beach at Pensacola, Florida, where I saw dolphins out in the open ocean for the first time in my life. And finally, New Orleans, which was the main highlight of the trip, and the major reason why we visited the South this year to begin with.
