It may come as a surprise to some longtime Beatles fans - as it admittedly did me - that John Lennon actually had an affair while he was still married to Yoko Ono. The two seemed inseparable from the late 1960's, and the tail end of Lennon's time with the Beatles, right up until the time of his untimely death by the gun of a deranged assassin late in 1980.
Well, it evidently happened. There is a documentary coming out about it later this month, called "The Lost Weekend," which evidently is Lennon himself called it.
The woman in question is May Pang. She wrote books about the affair, but they largely remained in the shadows. Now, suddenly, it seems to be making stories and having it's day in the spotlight.
Evidently, according to Pang, it was Yoko Ono herself who set her up with Lennon and allowed the affair to happen. Strange story.
