This definitely feels like a little bit of good news.
Amid efforts to try and restore our wilderness to it's former grandeur, there have been efforts to try and introduce certain former native life back into place where they used to be very strong in numbers, if not even dominant. That includes bald eagles, wolves, and of course, buffalo.
These efforts have been met with some success in certain places, including Yellowstone National Park, where both buffalo and wolves now roam once again. Maybe not in their former numbers, but it is a wonderful sight to see.
Well, they are attempting much the same thing north of the border, in Canada, as well. Some time ago, a new batch of bison have been introduced to Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. Not long ago, the first new calves to be born inside of the park grounds in nearly a century and a half made some headlines, and could be seen by visitors to the park.
This is one area where some human designed intervention - this time to try and undo the damage that we collectively did over the course of our history - can be a success story.
Let's hope for more stories like this!
