Earlier today, while walking on what turned out to be an absolutely splendid late spring day, I suddenly found myself remarkably close to the local heron.
Now, I have seen this guy around before. In fact, I have taken pictures, and published them here, probably numerous times in the past.
However, I never quite got this close to it.
Twice.
It was almost like I snuck up on it, both times. But especially the first time around.
This presented me with a chance to take some pictures, while the opportunity was there for it. So I took some, and figured these would be worth publishing here.
