Trump Ruins Everything For Game 3 of the NBA Finals

2026 NBA Finals Update

Donald Trump knew that his presence at Game 3 of the NBA Finals would ruin the experience for many fans. Literally, thousands of fans. Roads would be closed, the viewing party would be cancelled, and it would mean thousands of fans who had spent a hell of a lot of money for their tickets would have to wait on very long lines, just to get in.

So of course he went anyway. That's just the kind of guy he is.

It's always about him.

One saving grace from my standpoint: he got roundly booed. Loudly and without any possible mistake about it. No way to spin this. He is unpopular throughout the country, but especially in New York City. So the boos were very, very loud and unmistakable.

Not that he cares.

Images of him also showed him seemingly having fallen asleep at one point. I saw one person on Facebook suggest that this was the most expensive, publicly funded nap in history. Quite a few other people pointed out that he brought bad luck. The Knicks had won 13 consecutive games, the second longest winning streak in NBA playoff history. But that all came to an end in this one, the game which Trump just happened to have attended.

Was that an accident? Or was he a bad omen? Did he bring the miserable failures which have defined his life and his presidency to Madison Square Garden, where they apparently rubbed off on the New York Knicks?

Even if these things were said in relative jest, I am not sure that they are wrong.

On a more serious (and somewhat surprising) note, one of the strongest and most revealing criticisms of Trump attending the NBA Finals Game 3 came from a staunch conservative and, I believe, a former member of MAGA, Ann Coulter.

Here is some of what she had to say about it:

"Of all the selfish, narcissistic things Trump has done, attending MSG to see the Knicks play in person Monday night is the absolute worst," Coulter tweeted. "20,000 attendees will be MASSIVELY inconvenienced for all the extra security, the Knicks Watch Party at Garden Is canceled, thousands of extra law enforcement officers will be required (paid for by taxpayers), traffic will be a disaster — all so he can sit in the Garden rather than watch the game on TV."

"Presidents ought to be willing to sacrifice once in awhile," she added.

Usually, I do not agree with Coulter on much. And while I am not sure that this was the worst of all narcissistic things which Trump has done, it certainly at the very least ranks fairly high on the list. In every other aspect, she was right on target. His presence there was unwanted and produced massive inconveniences. If he was a better man, a more thoughtful human being who actually cared about other people, he would not have attended. Indeed, as Coulter suggested, he should have been willing to sacrifice, for once.

But that's just not Donald Trump.

And now, the Knicks lost, and had their historical winning streak snapped. Donald Trump got booed outside of the arena, then got booed even more loudly once his image appeared inside of the arena. There are video clips (apparently from the night before the game) of people outside of Trump Tower yelling "New York Hates You." Indeed, thousands of fans were inconvenienced so that we could get further confirmation of just how unpopular and miserable Trump really is. We cannot even get a break from seeing his fucking face during the NBA playoffs, apparently, even though it seems doubtful that he is actually much of a fan.

It feels like Trump has the opposite of the Midas Touch right now. Everything that he touches falls apart and becomes a disaster. Trump was supposedly rooting for the Knicks, and the Knicks and their fans saw everything go wrong last night.

There he was, in his entitled, self-indulgent existence, quickly going through normally busy New York streets which had been closed for his visit. He was escorted quickly and with no inconvenience to him into the venue. He got booed, then promptly fell asleep to an event that seemed charged with electricity and demanded top dollar for tickets.

What a fucking loser this man is.

And maybe he did make the Knicks lose, just by his sheer presence.

Unfortunately, Trump happens to be bringing that same reverse Midas Touch to the entire country and even, to the extent possible, the entire world.

God help us.

Ann Coulter Blows Up on Trump for Going to Knicks Game: ‘Of All the Selfish, Narcissistic Things’ He’s Done…

This image (see link below) was not real. He was actually in a private room, of course. Yet, this image serves as a symbol for what transpired last night. Plus, I got a good chuckle from seeing this image, and thought that someone out there might get a good laugh, as well.
