Trump Wants to Attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Even Though New Yorkers Clearly Do Not Want Him There

Have we actually ever before seen a president make a point of attending as many sports events as Trump seems intent on going to?

He seems to want to go to every major sports event. From UFC fighting events to the Super Bowl to baseball games and now, the NBA Finals, this man seems to want to see these events. My guess is also that he wants to be seen attending these events.

However, fans in New York clearly do not want him to come to the NBA Finals. Former Knicks legend, as well as former presidential candidate Bill Bradley even warned Trump not to come.

Still, Knicks owner James Dolan invited President Trump to attend Game 3, in what feels like a remarkably tone deaf move for the owner of New York City's NBA franchise.

A lot of New York fans have weighed in. Politics aside, Trump's presence will make the security situation to get in a nightmare for many. I heard on the radio earlier that fans should try to get to Madison Square Garden two hours early in order to get through what is expected to be an absolute security check nightmare to get into the game.

Also, let's face it: Trump is not popular. His poll numbers are very low right now across the country. But that is especially true for New York City. 

This guy has delusions of grandeur, assuming that he is beloved everywhere that he goes, even when the truth is often quite the opposite.

That is the case this time, too. It seems clear enough that New Yorkers do not actually want Trump here, especially at Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

But when has opposing popular will ever stopped Trump before?

Frankly, I personally wish Trump would just stay home. We all see more than enough of this guy's thin orange skin on television. He wants to dominate our lives on every level. Sports is supposed to be a bit of a break from real life. Can't we at least get a break from seeing this ridiculous farce of a so-called leader during the NBA Finals?

Go to Mar-a-Lago, Trump. Stay away from New York, please. For once, listen to what people are actually saying and comply with what they actually want. And what they obviously want is for you to stay the hell away from the NBA Finals. Not to pollute this series with his corrupting presence.
