Sometimes, we can too easily lose sight of some of the good things that happen, since we are simply bombarded daily with incredible bad news.
Yet when you think about it, under the circumstances, Sunday was actually a decent day.
First of all, Argentina lost, and yes, Enzo Fernandez finally had his bad behavior catch up with him, truly earning a red card that left his team one short for the rest of the game.
Also, let us remember that Trump recently had harsh criticisms towards Spain, even referring to that country as "wasted cause." He seems to particularly have it in for that country. Perhaps that is why he was openly rooting for Argentina.
Well, we are starting to know that Trump rooting for a team that he attends an event of is like the kiss of death. Every time he goes to a sporting event, the team that he is pulling for fails and falls short. This Sunday was no exception, as Argentina got dominated far more than the final score might suggest. That forced Trump to hand the gold medals and the World Cup trophy to the players of a country he has expressed considerable anger towards.
Also, FIFA President Infantino is being investigated for corruption.
Finally, media influencer and Mindless MAGA Moron Andrew Tate was arrested in the United States on rape charges he faces in the United Kingdom. You remember Andrew Tate, right? If memory serves correctly, he was the one who "joked" that he accelerated on the road instead of giving a woman her right of way because, now that Trump had won the election, women no longer have rights. What a charmer, eh? Well, he and his brother were arrested, and they appeared to be wearing women's clothing while being arrested.
Have to admit, not bad. Maybe there is at least a little poetic justice in all of this.
