Weekend Humor From a Recent Onion Headline: Department Of Labor Cracks Down On People Getting Paid For Work

Didn't really do the usual, lighthearted humor thing this past weekend, admittedly.

So thought it might be nice for a bit of levity early this Monday morning.

Some of the real headlines these days almost feel like spoof headlines.

And while this particular headline from The Onion is indeed spoof, it is beginning to feel like something which we might actually see in the not so distant future. I still remember when former presidential candidate Scott Walker (that was his name, right?) blasted Americans for being too lazy and actively thought about getting rid of weekends. If I remember, that was even part of the platform that he was running on.

Glad that he faded away, although what we got instead (King Con Don) is arguably worse still.

Anyway, this headline from the Onion felt worth sharing. Because it's funny in a not so funny kind of way, since it feels like, increasingly, this is bordering on the truth. I would not be surprised if we have somewhat similar headlines (maybe about Americans being paid too much or receiving too generous benefits) in the near future.

Take a look:
