Trump National Emergency Speech Was Itself a Disaster

So yes, here we are, discussing Trump's ridiculous, absurd speech in which he declared a state of emergency in order to obtain the funding that he feels is necessary to build his damn wall.

It is being widely regarded as Trump's worst speech, and possibly his worst moment, since taking the White House. And indeed, that is saying something!

Usually, I try not to involve myself with Daily Kos, mostly because of their seemingly unquestioning, unconditional support of mainstream Democrats, and their clear dismissal of Bernie Sanders, going along with the mainstream media's portrayal of Sanders as a fringe candidate, as someone who could not be taken as a "serious" candidate. They, like so many others, conveniently ignored the polls which illustrated that he was, in fact, the most popular American politician, and which had him soundly beating Trump. The same polls had Clinton losing.

Guess what happened?

Well, in any case, while I usually opt to ignore Daily Kos, this particular article was different. Because it did make the point that Trump's absurd actions, and his even worse speech, are still new lows in a presidency that has been chock full of them.

He even managed to undermine the credibility of his own claims that this is, indeed, a dire national emergency, when he infamously said:

"I could do the wall over a longer period of time. I didn't need to do this."

Then, he went off to sunny Florida to catch some rounds of golf. Because nothing screams out a serious national emergency like taking a trip to his private Florida resort, at taxpayer expense, to play still more golf, right?

So anyway, here is the link to this article:
