Many people in this New York/New Jersey are will remember sportscaster Warner Wolf, right?
"Let's go to the video tape!"
Yes, that became his trademark line, and I always looked forward to seeing his sports broadcasts. In fact, I have a couple of old broadcasts of his, and still enjoy them, as they take me back.
Well, Wolf himself recently made news, although it actually showed that he seems like a really cool guy in real life!
What did he do? He got arrested for removing the word "Plantation" from the gated Florida community that he resides in. He had been a strong and vocal supporter of removing the word, which clearly has historic connotations that would remind everyone of one of this country's most horrific legacies: slavery. That is particularly true down south, including Florida.
So, kudos to Warner Wolf!
