RIP, Van Conner

Sad news to report, and which I just learned of minutes ago.

Van Conner, the bassist and song writer of legendary Seattle band the Screaming Trees has died. He was just 55.

This death comes not quite a year after the death of former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan last February.

Found out about it via Facebook, on Gary Lee Conner's Facebook page. Here is what he wrote in tribute to his brother, close friend, and of course, former bandmate.

Van Conner bassist and song writer of Screaming Trees died last night of an extended illness at 55 It was pneumonia that got him in the end. He was one of the closest friends I ever had and I loved him immensely. I will miss him forever and ever and ever…
