One thing that I personally am very, very tired of are presidents or elected leaders claiming to have been given their leadership status by none other than God. Remember when George W. Bush famously claimed that God had wanted him to be president?
Well not surprisingly, Trump now seems to have that same divinity complex. He is claiming that God allowed him to survive the attempted assassination (and there are a lot of question marks around that, but that is a topic for another day) in order for him to be president now. God wanted him to be president, according to Trump, so that he could "make America great again."
Sigh.
Man, I'm really tired of politicians trying to sell us on lies, but it's particularly egrigious when they try and sell you on the idea that no less of an authority than God wants them to rule over you.
Having Trump in charge is bad enough. Please spare us the attempted mythology building that God wants you to be president, on top of it, okay?
