2025 NBA Finals Game 1 Review: Indiana Pacers Stun OKC With Historical Comeback

2025 NBA Playoff Update

2024 NBA Finals Game 1 - Indiana Pacers 111, Oklahoma City Thunder  110

So the 2025 NBA Finals are underway.

Turns out that it was really quite a good game. The Eastern Conference Champion Indiana Pacers were on the road and trailing the Oklahoma City thunder by 15 points in the final quarter. For all intents and purposes, the game seemed to be over. Admittedly, I sure thought that it was.

However, the Pacers had other ideas. They never gave up, and managed to stage a very memorable comeback. One of the greatest comebacks in the history of the NBA Finals. It was capped by a three-point shot very late by Tyrese Haliburton right in crunch time.

It was almost reminiscent of the Reggie Miller era of the Indiana Pacers.

That unlikely win means that the Pacers manage to take home court advantage away from OKC, at least for now. In the process, they take the 1-0 series lead, and put immense pressure on the Thunder to win Game 2 at home, in order to avoid digging themselves in an 0-2 hole, and then having to travel east as the series shifts to Indiana.

What a game!
