Citizens United has allowed billionaires to completely take over our politics, rig our economy for their own benefit, and destroy our democracy. This week was yet another reminder of just how pernicious that ruling was — and why we must get Big Money out of politics.

Thought that this pretty well summed up how most of us likely feel about the ridiculous drama between Trump and Musk in recent days.
Frankly, I'm almost convinced that this is staged. That they are being theatrical because they find each other a liability at this point, each for their own ends.
Furthermore, it marks one of the rare time when I found myself in agreement with both and feeling like they were making solid points....while blasting each other publicly.
Some people found it entertaining.
Not I.
To me, this remains a national disgrace, something for which we should collectively feel ashamed. This is happening for all the world to see, casting Americans in a very bad and compromising light. Nothing to laugh about in that regard.
Anyway, I really appreciated what Robert Reich had to say about it. He usually is pretty spot on with things, with how screwed up political realities are presently in the United States. But this one spoke to me even more than most, and seemed worth sharing.
