Climate Watch Update for June 18 - 19, 2025: Inside the United States

The old button from the Environmental Club days which I just happened to find on Earth Day! It is a little beat up (particularly the ends of the ribbon), but no worse for the wear, I think. And it is one of the few items that I have left from those days, so it carries a lot of great memories for me! Nothing Changes Until You Do!

Record hot temperatures have been, are, or will be making headlines all over the United States, from far out West to the Northeast.

Below are three links to articles showing evidence of this. Near-record heat, as well as a high pollution warning, making headlines in Phoenix, Arizona earlier today. Milwaukee is expecting record heat for this time of the year for this coming weekend. And for me, hitting a bit closer to home, the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area is scheduled to get severe (record) heat early next week.
